This Privacy Policy explains how Vladimir Pogozhev (MindFlash Studio) (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles information in connection with the DiaBalance mobile application (“the App”). Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly share it.

What data we collect

On-device data: meals, products, recipes, hydration — stored locally.
Camera access: only for barcode scanning; images aren’t collected or stored.
Approximate location / locale (optional): to improve product relevance; no precise location stored.
Crash/analytics (optional): anonymized diagnostics to improve stability (can be disabled).
Advertising identifiers: if ads are shown, the app may access your device’s advertising ID for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement.

How we use data

Provide app features (scan, search, meal calculation, history).
Personalize results by country/retailer.
Show and measure advertising where applicable.
Improve performance and reliability (anonymized diagnostics).

Consent & choices (GDPR/EEA)

For users in the EEA/UK, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent for personalized/non-personalized ads and analytics. You can review or change your choice at any time in the app’s Settings → Privacy.

Third-party services

Google AdMob (ads & measurement)
Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics (diagnostics)

These providers process data under their own policies and receive only the minimum necessary information.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. On-device data is not shared unless you export or back it up yourself.

Data retention

Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Exported backups follow the retention of the destination you choose.

Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. If a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Because data is local, most actions are available in-app (edit/delete entries, clear local storage). Contact us for assistance.

Security

We apply industry best practices; however, no method is 100% secure. Keep your device updated and protected.

Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, shown in-app.
